Samsung Smart TV

The CMSTV Samsung Smart TV (Tizen) app is a player that connects to a server configured by the user. It does not provide channels, films, or series.

Who is responsible for the app

Data processed by the app

• Account and connection data stored locally: The app stores the configured server address, username, password, and account information needed to sign in and maintain the session in the app’s local storage (localStorage). Signing out removes session data managed by the app. CMSTV does not add its own encryption to this storage.
• Locally stored preferences and playback activity: The app may store favorites, playback history, and playback progress (for example, to continue watching). This data may remain on the TV after signing out. Clear the app’s data in the TV settings or reinstall the app to remove it.
• Technical data and updates: The reviewed app version does not automatically contact an update service.
• Service use and playback: The chosen server receives sign-in credentials and requests needed to display the catalog and play content. Its operator may process account identifiers, IP address, requests, and playback activity under its own practices. The app also connects to media sources specified by that server.

Who data is shared with

CMSTV does not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. Data sent by the app goes to the server configured by the user and to the media sources specified by that server. The reviewed app version does not send data to an analytics or advertising platform.

The operator providing the service may act as an independent data controller for the data it receives. Review its terms and privacy policy to learn about its practices.

Storage and retention

Signing out removes credentials and session data managed by the app. Favorites, playback history, and playback progress may remain on the device until you clear the app’s data in the TV settings or reinstall it. The operator sets the retention periods for its server and infrastructure logs.

Data stored only on the device remains there until deleted using the options above. CMSTV does not set retention periods for the server you choose.

Connection security

The reviewed version has no advertising, analytics, or payment modules. CMSTV does not sell usage data. The app supports HTTP and HTTPS connections. We recommend HTTPS: HTTP does not encrypt credentials or traffic in transit. Verify the server address and make sure you trust its operator. Using HTTP may expose information to others with access to the network.

Children

The app is a playback tool configured by the operator or account holder. It is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly request children’s personal data. The account holder and service provider should determine what content and controls are appropriate.

Your rights and contact

You may request access, correction, updating, deletion, or objection regarding personal data controlled by CMSTV, under Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 29733 and its current regulations. You can submit a request to the data controller using WhatsApp at the number below; where applicable, you may also contact the Peruvian National Authority for Personal Data Protection (ANPD). For information retained by the operator of your chosen server, contact that operator.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. We will publish the current version at this URL and show its update date. If a change materially affects data processing, we will communicate it through available app or website channels.
