Android mobile
The CMSTV Android mobile app is a player that connects to a server configured by the user. It does not provide channels, films, or series.
Who is responsible for the app
Data controller: Juan Edgar Rivas Marmanillo (CMSTV). For questions about this policy or to exercise your rights regarding data processed by CMSTV, contact us on WhatsApp at +51 954 579 012. Include the app name, device, and a description of your request; do not send your password.
Data processed by the app
- Settings and session: The app stores the server address, username, and password in the device’s private storage to maintain the session. Android isolates each app’s private storage; CMSTV does not add its own encryption to these values. Depending on device settings, the system or backup tools may include app data in backups.
- Technical data and updates: When the app starts, it automatically checks a CMSTV Cloud endpoint for available updates; a manual check is also available. This technical request may include the IP address, date and time, a User-Agent with the app version, and standard connection data. The password, catalog, and playback history are not sent to that service.
- Service use and playback: The chosen server receives sign-in credentials and requests needed to display the catalog and play content. Its operator may process account identifiers, IP address, requests, and playback activity under its own practices. The app also connects to media sources specified by that server.
- Local preferences and history: may be stored to provide app features.
Who data is shared with
CMSTV does not sell personal data or share it with advertisers. Data sent by the app goes to the server configured by the user and to the media sources specified by that server. Update checks are sent to the CMSTV Cloud update service.
The operator providing the service may act as an independent data controller for the data it receives. Review its terms and privacy policy to learn about its practices.
Storage and retention
Signing out removes the session saved by the app. Favorites, preferences, and local history may remain until CMSTV app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. The operator or infrastructure provider sets retention periods for server and update-service logs.
Data stored only on the device remains there until deleted using the options above. CMSTV does not set retention periods for the server you choose.
Connection security
The reviewed app version has no advertising, analytics, or payment modules. Android requests access to the Internet and network state; it does not request contacts or location permissions. The app supports HTTP and HTTPS servers. We recommend HTTPS: HTTP does not encrypt credentials or traffic in transit. Verify the server address and make sure you trust its operator. Using HTTP may expose information to others with access to the network.
Children
The app is a playback tool configured by the operator or account holder. It is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly request children’s personal data. The account holder and service provider should determine what content and controls are appropriate.
Your rights and contact
You may request access, correction, updating, deletion, or objection regarding personal data controlled by CMSTV, under Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 29733 and its current regulations. You can submit a request to the data controller using WhatsApp at the number below; where applicable, you may also contact the Peruvian National Authority for Personal Data Protection (ANPD). For information retained by the operator of your chosen server, contact that operator.
